broke NC

long story short, me and my boyfriend broke up because the distance/ not seeing each other wasn't working for him. i started NC and was doing well for a little over a week.. i ignored his message on thursday when he just asked how i was doing, but when i woke up sunday morning, at 2am he texted me "hey, can i call?".. so not thinking, i called him right before i had to go to work. it was actually the first time we talked on the phone in over two weeks, when he broke up with me. the conversation was awkward, as expected. he did say that it was nice to talk to me, and all i could say was "yeah.. it is..". he said he was busy and he'd call me back, but i said well i have to work in a few, so he said oh well then i'll talk for a bit more. then, ofcourse, my phone spazzed out (i have water damage and have yet to get around to fixing it) and when i got his call back, he just said he'd talk to me later.

 

seriously, i thought i was kinda getting somewhere, but then he went back to how he was since we broke up.

 

i told myself that i won't see him and try to stick to NC until the summertime, when he comes home from school, and the distance isn't a factor anymore. i've also been good on concentration on myself by getting back to the gym, so i've been trying to move on. but ofcourse i break NC, and i can't stop thinking about him all over again.. :/

 

advice? i really want to stick to NC or little contact as possible until summer.. or should i just give up totally?

I think u should be open with what u want n if he does not want that then go no contact. I'm thinking u don't want to be in the friends zone so don't accept it. It's not easy but u can do it. All the best

he told me when we broke up that we should work on our friendship, since we barley knew each other when we first started going out, but i know being just friends won't work, so that's why i decided to start NC, but he always tries talking to me.
