I'm 20, but due to my facial structure I tend to look older (not like an old man but more mature) but I like to fool myself that I'm still a boy so I keep it shaved. I was going to go for a ZZ Top style beard but my girlfriend said she'd shave it while I slept if I did that

I look 10 years younger than my age when clean shaven (people say I look about 18; I'm 28.) But looking youthful is never a bad thing.

With it, he looked like a bad*ss Samurai (when I dated him, he had a long goatee, now he has the full beard and I don't think it looks as good on him). Another guy looked silly without a full-blown beard. But a different guy started looking like he was going to hit people up for change when he had even two days worth of stubble, and another had such a thin build that I don't think he could even pull off a day's worth of stubble very well. For me, it's not that it doesn't matter. It's that it depends on the guy in question whether or not facial hair looks good.

Olivia1966 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I don't mind the look of a beard, but my xmil always had this really infected-looking rash around her mouth, and it went away when she divorced my bearded xfil. That really put me off beards entirely. Is there some kind of leave-in conditioner that can be put on a beard to make it less rash-inducing?

Me, too Beards are hot (as long as they're not too long and well kept, and not some kind of 'I'm trying too hard to look cool or intellectual' identity marker). I LOVE the feeling of beard/one-or-two-day stubble against my skin

Unless we've been married to you for 10+ years and we're at the point where we like your personality, have children together and have learned to tolerate the facial hair. I'm sure grizzly adams had a wife, but she probably ran off with a clean shaven fella from another town and that's why we never saw her in the series. I think I'll start a thread asking "Pits, shaven or unshaven?" unshaven definitely....

I think it shows the man's masculinity! I think this fade of having hairless men is ridiculous! Men should have hair.. It's very hot!!!
