Your boyfriend (emphasis on "boy") is wrong.

 

He tried to manipulate you and get you to talk with him. Death is not a joking matter. You are a caring person who was concerned. So now, as if the "joke" weren't bad enough, he is using your concern to fuel his follow-up manipulation in order to punish you.

 

It is so clear cut that he was wrong. You are questioning yourself because of the manipulation - that's how it works. Go with your gut.

 

These are not indications of good character in your boyfriend. This is not isolated bad behavior, this is someone who is cruel. Break up with him. You can do better.

Don't feed into his immature dialogue any longer. If I were you I'd go back to No Contact because apparently communication with him leads to disrespect. You don't need that in your world. Just cut it off immediately. He is manipulative and not your problem.

Why did you edit your post and take out the majority of the story? Telling someone that you are dying is not an innocent prank, though I'm sure he'd like you to buy that.

Why did you edit your post? this is a red flag. It's as if you are still manipulated and controlled by him getting into your head and making you second guess yourself. Is he reading this site too?
