blind_otter Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) It's been quite a while since we discussed this topic in great length. You know what you are? You're a pot-stirrer. Nice is a horrible, horrible, vague, horribly vague nice word. Edited February 21, 2011 by blind_otter
threebyfate Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Definitions of nice on the Web: dainty A perfect description. From now on, they will be called dainty guys!

LeaningIntoTheMuse Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 A perfect description. From now on, they will be called dainty guys! I'm wearing my pink tutu right now.
blind_otter Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 just making light of the situation here. LS has lacked comedic relief as of late. Bless cheezits, I'm so glad. Levity is a necessity as far as I'm concerned. Otherwise, what is the point of life? Live laugh love.
LeaningIntoTheMuse Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I probably take things too seriously. Then again, I am a serious person. Except when dancing in my pink tutu.
jerbear Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 It is not nice to call nice guys dainty, they might be suffering from shrinkage.

Disillusioned Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 There are no more nice guys. I know because I used to be one. So... what happened to all of us? We turned into a bunch of Mad Maxes. We'd just as soon pump your guts full of lead as give you the time of day.
Woggle Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Glade Colon Freshener Just plug it in Nice guys.. I don't know of any... I am talking about something that actually makes the farts smell better. You could fart in a car with the windows up and it will smell like vanilla.

J200 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) Most of the guys I know who have always had lots of very attractive girlfriends, once night stands once in a while, lots of action, were all nice guys. None of them were jerks. They were probably not "saints" but they were all nice and I wouldn't call them "Alpha males". They weren't super aggressive or dominant; just normal guys with big personalities, charismatic etc. Not all were tall either. One was barely 5'7" (he was Asian) but he was super cut so he looked like he was taller and at one point he had 10 girls throwing themselves at him ready to have sex with him. My FWB right now is a "nice guy". He is never aggressive, not a jerk, polite, he always is apologizing for stuff; super nice guy. Also, all the guys I know that get a lot of girls (gf's or dating or one night stands etc) just have genuine great personalities and people like being around them. They aren't nice or outgoing as an act either; it's just how they are genuinely are and as a result tons of women want them. The didn't have to read a book or follow PUA lines; they have the same charisma with attractive girls as with coworkers or families etc. It's not faked or anything just for the sake of having sex. To me, they are really nice guys. Even though they get a lot of sex and super hot girls they aren't jerks. However, they aren't bitter either. All the nice guys on LS aren't nice at all but just bitter. Edited February 21, 2011 by J200
musemaj11 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Nice guys are the *******s behind why self entitled princesses exist. **** them.
tami-chan Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 A nice guy is someone who logs on to a site like LS to "talk" about his feelings- his broken heart, how it eventually healed and how he longs to find the woman of his dreams, eventually finds her and lives happily ever after

I've met women that dated a guy because he was "nice", but it's kinda rare... same for "jerks". What I see is women going for men who project confidence and power. If they are jerks then so be it.... if they are nice... the same. I don't think women really care about those labels as much as some of the guys here want to believe. This whole conversation while slightly satirical... is an exercise in futility.

Leeway Harris Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 So, can we start randomly redefining words to mean whatever we want now? Okay, from now on: "Smart Guy" means "Meth Addict" "Active Guy" means "Drunk Driver" "Generous Guy" means "Inline Skating Enthusiast" "Fun-loving Guy" means "Barnyard Animal Molester" Gee, language is fun, but confusing.

Real confidence is different from brashness. The former is inherent and attractive, the latter a superficial mask for insecurities. The type of power that I find attractive in men comes from within, someone who's secure in themselves and secure in their masculinity. Someone who's been given or even earned "power" doesn't necessarily have that solid, responsible, balanced and attractive "power" of intellect and personality. So, net result, the mature (not age related) man who's got confidence and personal power. Killer combination!
