shortybizzi Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Hi am new here I am engaged to my bf of 4 years and am definitely thinking of getting Married Soon but i dont think am for a big wedding am one of them people who want a little wedding and a big do after to celebrate it. I am 24 in april and he is 47 yes i know its a big age gap but each to there own i say and most people i know have accepted that well except some of my family so they wont be there. I think it might also be right as were moving it to a nicer place and feel like its a new start. Is Marriage all its cracked up to be? :rolleyes:

I would say yes, as long as both people really really really work at it. Its probably the hardest thing you're ever going to do in life... along with raising kids. I personally busted my ass in my marriage. I wasn't perfect but I really tried, and stbxH left anyway. It very much has to be a 50/50 effort. There will be times you have to lean on each other, but one person cannot carry the weight of the marriage themself, they will fail.
