There's this girl I've known for about a month and a half, we re pretty chummy and atthis pointthere is almost no doubt in my mind that she is interested in me. This coming weekend however my friends and I are embarking on a day long road trip to a neighboring city the trip will probably be about an hour and a half drive there, most likely a three hour stop in the city and another hour and a half drive back home. My issue here is that this girl and I have not yet been on a date, and this road trip is a huge time commitment plus it would be close quarters (in my friends honda civic) for nearly half the time we would spend together. Also she has never met any of my friends I feel like im asking a lot of her to spend probably somewhere around seven hours with people she has never met, and one person she kind of knows ( me). It is my understanding that the entire purpose of a first date is to get to know someone and in my opinion what better way is there to get to know someone than a good 'ol road trip but something in my gut tells me this is a bad idea.

Are your friends all male?

Would you really be ready to both accommodate her and your friends at the same time for so long?

If say, your friends were co-ed and you did feel you could entertain her and still be part of the whole, you might just talk about it with her and say something like you wish she could join you. You never know, she might volunteer. But if she doesn't than I don't recommend asking her on something so demanding. Wait for a proper date.

If it's all guys, definitely don't bring her along. If it's a co-ed thing then maybe. I'd still err on the side of not bringing her since you guys haven't even been out on a date yet.
