I know--- older is a relative term.

To be sure, I always have found older women to be attractive if they are fit. How about fit older men? Do you (women) ever check them out? Not saying you'd date a duffer, but have you checked out one with a great body?

I'm very fit, I get flirted at by loads of women my age and older. They eyeball me up and down also.:o Thats all well and good, but I'm curious if younger women give me glances too. Maybe they are just wondering if I need help crossing the street. I'm 50

You're relatively old enough to be my dad.

What was your question again?

Just want to know if I should even answer ..

in response to the OP, I would imagine many younger women would appreciate a wise man with old school values that is also very attractive. I'm not nearly that old but when I get there I hope to keep myself in excellent shape. If herschel walker and Randy Couture can do it, so can I

Well I have the 10 year rule, so you'd be too old for me. But I can't see why women in their late 30's/early 40's wouldn't be interested in a good looking and successful 50 year old man.

If you're rich too you could pull younger, that seems to happen a lot!:p

It's possible. I'm not nearly that age either, but I'm thinking about following the Spartan workout routine. Which creates a body type like this: http://tinyurl.com/63h4s8m

They had that actor on a workout routine of 4 to 6 hours a day, every day for 6 months. The routine isn't simply a normal one, it's so heavy that it made the male actors that followed it cry and puke after 13 minutes into the workout. Every day before training started they were tense, because they knew what was coming for the next 6 hours of that day. The trick is to do a varied routine, where you never do the same exercise twice and do every exercise as fast as possible, trying to create a new record every day. It's excruciating, but that workout routine will also make you as strong as you look. http://tinyurl.com/48b5y7k

Except I don't intend to do that version of the workout routine, because it costs a lot of time and I trained that hard once in my life when I was 17 and remember how painful it was to push yourself so hard that you're going to puke. So instead I'll be doing the 300 version that sculpts the body exactly like that, with one difference, you'll not be as strong as you look. The muscles will be sculpted exactly the same, but you will not have the same kind of stamina and explosive strength. That version of the routine costs only 1 hour per day on average, which is acceptable.

Now my question to the women on this forum is if the body type in the picture I posted in this reply is actually attractive or do you find it too much? If it's too much, where then is the sweet spot in terms of male muscularity, can you provide an example? Post what you think is exactly perfect.

That would be interesting to know, because men tend to find the spartan body type to be esthetically well sculpted, but we men look differently at each other. I'd be interested in hearing women's opinions on this, from all age ranges.

It's not just fitness that attracts younger women, it's whether your experienced, suave, have that charisma! I have a boyfriend who is in his early 40s, and he is great but he is probably too old for me to settle down with. I would say older than that is too old for me. But I'm not sure what you mean by younger women? 35+ might be totally checking you out! Under 30, probably not!

Nexus, the pic was blank/not available for me. But I am fascinated by the Spartans and 300 is in my top 5 fav films EVER. So I can safely say that I find that body type superiorly attractive, it's just perfect and sends my desire through the roof. I have a date on Sunday with a guy with that body shape, he has sent me a topless picture and I am like super interested in him now!!!

Mo_mo, I appreciate it if you don't publicly display my name on an anonymous that I frequent... I do value my privacy.

Oh, and I was being nice. He is old enough to be my dad.

Nexus, that's a little bit too much for me, I like a fit guy who works out and doesn't have a gut but isnt' rigid about a gym lifestyle and he probably doesnt' have to actually protect me from any rampaging hordes! I cant' sit around looking for hot pics right now though sorry.

Not sure if this one will work: http://tinyurl.com/6jyl8dk

Nexus, it was exactly as I suspected. Gerald Butler will never play a role as great as Leonidas, nor will he ever look so amazing.

By achieving a physique like this you will also attract women with great bodies - the only ones intimated by this look are the ones who feel under confident about their own bodies. Not only will it make you attractive from an aesthetic point of view, but you will have working out/health/fitness as a common interest. I think that is important if you are dedicated to training to have someone that understands the hours you need to put in and won't be all 'I don't see you enough cos you're working out'!!

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by being intimidated by that look. That guy has a nice body and that type will attract plenty of girls, but it's not my preference of what I am attracted to first, it's over the top IMO. And I have made my livelihood off of having a good body myself, so I really don't think that everybody who isn't drooling over that pic is intimidated by it.

But then I like working out and eating healthy, but fitness isn't my biggest 'interest' and I dont' care for it to be my main common interest with anyone. IMO people who only talk about calories and the gym are boooorrriiiiiing.

Ha! I ONLY look at older guys! It's a running joke with my husband and I. I am late 30s and get hit on by guys from college on up. But I have a very specific type-older gray haired very fit guys. Usually five years older than me minimum. I would say 52 would be as old as I would be interested in. I have many very good looking younger guys that are interested, but they just don't do it for me. I must have daddy issues. Actually, my dad was a very fit and very muscular guy as well. He's gone now though.

Women are intimidated by really fit men huh??

That explains a lot!

I find older men very attractive. I'm married, but doesn't mean I can't look.

Most older guys are more secure and give off a certain energy, and it's not cocky or conceited like younger guys.

How young you hoping these women who might be checking you out? (wow that sentence reads oddly, but you know what i mean..)

I agree that it's not all about physical fitness. My ex had a knack for attracting younger women. He is 47 and when we broke up last year he had a 24 year old woman pursuing him big time. We still talked and saw each other so I saw a letter she had written him. . She was positively smitten by him..haha. He has an average body. Not fat, but not terribly muscular or in shape. He has an extremely attractive face and I think a lot women get more attracted to the face than the body. But mostly he has a ton of charisma and charm that might seem a little ott to an older woman but works like a charm on the young uns. Funny how life works because a lot of older men would love to attract very young women but it's not my ex's preference. He feels flattered by the attention but doesn't feel quite right about actually being with a very young woman. Usually he looks for women his own age or even a little older than him.

For the OP I don't know how young you are talking about but I doubt women in their twenties are checking you out because you are in shape. Afterall they are in great shape too and they have plenty of hot in shape guys that are their own age to pick from. Like with my ex, it's all in the personality. When I was in my twenties I usually dated guys who were older than me but anything beyond 10 years older I considered too old, didn't matter how great their bodies were. There were a couple of times I became attracted to significantly older men and it wasn't because they had a six pack for abs.

I would say that I'd like to be appealing to the widest age range of women possible. That isn't to say I'd want to date everyone who found me attractive. I know women who are thrilled that they can turn the heads of teenagers, but that doesn't mean they want to date them. Same with me.

I see at least a couple of posters give older, fit guys a look. That's good.

The best compliment a much younger woman gave me was (as she told someone else) she wished she could put a young guys head on my body.

I was 48, she was early 20's. Doesn't say much for my head
