So yeah...end of relationship...blah blah blah.

I haven't been in contact at all...and have been debating for a couple of days whether or not to get my stuff back. I know....most stuff I couldn't care less about...it could be replaced. But he has a couple of pieces of family jewelry that I left there. And I definitely want them back.

I thought about waiting awhile so the wound wasn't so fresh...but the truth is...I think I just want to get it over with and move on. Also I want to be sure he doesn't take the jewelry and pawn it or something!!! Haha.

Any thoughts about this? Should I have waited a couple weeks? Or anyone have any crazy experiences with getting your stuff back?

The sooner you break ties, the better. And I have been known to leave stuff at dates' places and never getting them back. Be civil, but don't hound, but still be firm enough to let him know you mean business and nothing else.

Yeah basically what I said was....

I was wondering if I could have my stuff back. You can mail it to me or I can meet you somewhere to pick it up.

Thanks.

Then he said he would bring it to me...(he lives almost an hour away)...he said "it's the least I could do." (Yeah...he's right...it is the LEAST he could do...haha).

I still suggested meeting him somewhere though. I'm getting the feeling he thinks that if he comes over...I'll want to "talk"...so I would rather not.

Lucky you, two months and I am still trying to get my stuff back. At this point, an attorney friend felt bad and offered to represent me in court. Got to love breakups!
