Congrats, Tigressa. It sounds like you have a good guy there.

I think a Kindle is an original gift and modern of him. Giving a book to someone is a good gift, but he thought ahead and gave you the gift of many books to come.

I'm so impressed by my new BF and how thoughtful he is. So I can appreciate your stories. Isn't it nice to be with someone where there is no drama and doubts?

:bunny:

Well, we're only talking about less than two weeks here. I mean, OceanGirl's relationship last month had a time-period too, where there was "no drama and doubts".

That said, congrats Tigress. You sound really happy, I hope this all works out!

Yay! I'm glad to see you found someone who floats your boat. I don't think the kindle is all that weird. I attended a black tie event with my BF a few weeks after we met. He not only bought my dress but he also paid for the trip (hotel, etc.). I left him alone for like two minutes in the store and came back to him signing the recite!

Anyways, the point is the kindle doesn't spell relationship doom and gloom from my end. It spells endless hours of reading! Woot!

You know, men that drive corvettes are making up for other inadequacies.

Just kidding. Glad things are working out for you.

He drives a corvette and a relationship in two weeks.....

He likes to go fast, eh? ;)

I lol'd.

I thought that was big trucks and SUVs that never go off road, no scratches, real shiny, chrome-don't-get-you-home types.

"I'm sorry I can't afford a Ferrari, but that don't mean I can't get you there"

LOL, actually I believe the stereotype for Corvette driver is Caucasian male that have hit mid-life crisis.

But actually, the latest generation of Corvettes (C6) are very nice cars. Impressive performance. Although since I have a soft spot for American classic muscle cars, I like the Stingray.

Funny you mentioned trucks. Cuz I drive a pickup truck haha! The joke's on me.

BF is neither of those things. Works for me. :lmao:

Thanks, all. I can't wait until Friday! It'll be so nice to wake up with him in the morning. It sucks having to go our separate ways after seeing each other. He wanted me to stay last night but I couldn't.

Pick-up truck= average penis size generally. Its the HUGE ASS trucks and SUVs I'm talking about here... and never go off-road.

TMI, but my stbxH drove two Ford Rangers and he was pretty hung.

Cheers, Tigress. Good luck.

I got off the phone with him a little while ago. I was telling him about playing around with my Kindle all day ("You can put music on it! And the speakers are so good! Did you know there are thousands of books you can download for free?!") and he teased me, calling it my new boyfriend. I said it was one of the most thoughtful gifts anyone has ever given me and that I can't stop smiling while scrolling through the pages of my new e-book because it makes me think of him. That made him really happy.

I asked him if he had anything in mind for the weekend and he said no. I said, "Good...I don't think I'll feel like leaving the apartment." He cracked up and said, "Sounds good to me!" :lmao::love:

Just thought I'd update...

Our first weekend together was absolutely amazing. I loved every minute of it and it was so hard to say goodbye to him on Sunday night. I made us breakfast that morning while he was still sleeping and he walked into the kitchen while I was playing music and dancing around with the spatula. He twirled me around, I sang really off-key and we hung on each other laughing.

We both dropped the L-word. It happened so naturally that it felt like nothing at all. It was really simple and sweet, no hesitation or big climactic moment. He was over last night and we (well, mostly he :o:laugh:) put together my new laptop cart. I started feeling woozy and a bit feverish at one point, so he put me in bed and brought me lemon water, aspirin and some hard pretzels. He was holding me and we talked at length to distract me from my illness. I apologized for putting a damper on things and he said, "No. This is part of being with you--taking care of each other." I'm making him dinner tonight.

I really think he's it. I feel it in my bones.

Thanks, Allina :bunny:

I feel like I could marry him, yes, but I'm just having so much fun with him. I've never been in a relationship like this, where everything progresses so naturally and neither of us is freaking out about the pace. Everything about it feels right. I am so very, very content.:)

Congrats, T! If it feels right then go for it! Wishing you the best of luck!
