oaks Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Rather than stay on my own this evening I'm going climbing with some friends. Went climbing. Met cute girl. Had a nice but brief chat until her friends took her away. Will look out for her next time. Much better than staying in and watching tv.

I'm in this class with a girl that I like, and I gathered the courage to ask her to join me for coffee after class. Turned out she had another class afterward. When I said "maybe some other time," she said that would be cool (she and I are friends, so I don't really have a reason to doubt her). So I'm going to message her on FB a little later and see if she'd want to go tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic at the moment. I know this may not sound like much, but when it comes to women, I'm shy as hell.

But aside from that, just thinking about women and hoping I can end up spending a nice V-day with one in the next 3 or so yrs. The empty feeling is still there, but I've gotten much better with it. I just hope I'm not too old to improve my standing with women.
810 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Nexus: that's sweet and romantic i got a box of chocolate from a guy and he asked if i'd like to go to dinner with him but i declined the offer. and another guy tried to send me flowers but got the wrong address so he called me up and asked for the addy lolz...still haven't received anything yet but i thanked him for his kindness. although, i'm open to relationship but none of them i'm attracted or into to. today, it's been alright. busy morning, lunch with friends and now has been quiet, i've gotten a lot of things done. tonight, work out at the gym, walk my dog, cook dinner and watch Will and Grace season 4 before reading and beddy bye.

carhill Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Rained this morning; nice sunny afternoon. Got good news from the opthamologist that a corneal transplant won't be necessary. Eerily quiet most of the day. The cat was restless, likely due to mating period starting. Baked chocolate chip cookies so the house smells like baking. A few customers called and seemed in good spirits. All in all a good day. Hope everyone else's day went well

One really drunk guy on a mountain bike told me Happy Valentine's Day. I don't know how he didn't fall in the river on several occasions. I put the little note on hot cop's car last night. I am assuming he got it when he went to work this morning. I didn't sign my name, just left a hint to who I was. Gave the cockatiels some millet and extra headrubs, got myself some chocolate turtles. Ate 3 today will eat 3 tomorrow.

My SO is on evening shift and doing overtime, so I'll be in bed by the time he gets home. Neither of us is big on Valentine's Day, but we would've liked to go out to dinner and spend some time together. Bummer. Oh, and at the shuttle/bus stop, the weirdo college student who normally chases the buses yelling at them was humping the fire hydrant instead. Happy Valentine's Day, I guess.

He seemed really nervous, cause he kept pointing out stuff for me to look at. And sure enough, he gave me diamonds, right after the two tickets to that thing I like. And there had to be like 50 carats- the things were falling out of his hands!! Then we went for a horseback ride. *sigh* The responses were pure awesomeness. (Only one person missed the reference- think Old Spice)
