dressing up Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Are men able to tell off the bat whether a woman has an SO? Say a woman is reasonably attractive, isn't bitter about life, and you know she has a good social life. Besides all these factors, can you tell from her demeanor or something whether she's seeing someone? If it's possible, what are those intangible factors?
carhill Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Short of asking her and her answering honestly, there's really no way to know for sure. Even wedding rings (or lack thereof) can deceive. I assume every woman I meet is married or attached until shown otherwise. I've been lied to enough. A good indicator is pretty gender-neutral: Being invited to his/her domicile for an evening visit and observing it to reflect his/her gender. The invite is part; the living space is part.
Pyro Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 The only way you really know is if she vocalizes it. Another good indicator is that she is wearing a ring on her left ring finger. That doesn't always mean that she is taken, but chances are that she is.

Other times, people got it right. And when they got it right, I thought there was something they knew that I didn't.

somedude81 Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 For me, if a girl is cute I always assume that she has a boyfriend. If we get along for some reason, I'll hope that she's single and take that chance. In my experience, the cute ones are always taken.
