People always mention how having confidence and having a positive attitude etc. are extremely crucial (which they are) in being able to actually get a girl to want to date you. It makes them feel safe and makes you more interesting.

But the truth is, what if this guy had a maximum amount of true confidence and could relate to women easily and knew how to please any woman?

Would he be a ladies man?

Are you merely joking, trolling or do you actually have a point? If so what's your point?

Confidence is obviously not the only factor that (certain) women look at.

Yes I do have a point: sometimes it doesn't help to have confidence and sometimes a person can't get dates for reasons other than things they have a lot of control over.

People always place blame on the person that has problems, which isn't always fair. Sometimes (in this case) a guy isn't a player for reasons other than "he's not a hard-ass confidence machine" or whatever.

Fair enough.
