I think there are some degree of sexual energy exchange. It is like a male energy wants to be soothed by a female energy, so he won't feel tense due to lack of a female energy at the moment? Will this make you less wanting a long term romantic partner?

It doesn't really have anything to do with the positive sexual energy of being massaged by a woman, it has to do with the fact that straight men usually don't like the negative sexual energy of being touched by a man in that manner. It has nothing to do with homophobia, but more to do with most men being uncomfortable being touched by a man that way.

I've had all of one professional massage in my life (from a female), and I agree with Slawking; I don't think I'd be comfortable getting a massage from a guy. But this is a fair question. I wouldn't be too comfortable with my wife getting a massage from a guy, his hands on her, etc. I guess that's where communication and respect come in: if we're talking about your SO, you should clearly communicate any misgivings you have with the idea, and he should respect you enough to honor your wishes.

It would just be a waste of money. If I wasn't good at them, I honestly wouldn't care. It's just a massage.

I've had physical therapy though where some days I'd draw a guy and others a female. The guys were always better at aggressively massaging the hurt. One female even tried to do it with one hand. Fooey on that.

It's pretty much the only way I'd be able to get to experience female touch. However I just don't like the idea of being massaged by a man, I wouldn't feel comfortable. And it just wouldn't feel the same either, knowing a guy is massaging you, with his big bulky hands on your body. Ewwww.

carhill Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Most of my massages have been by male masseuses, mainly after athletic events to work out the lactic acid and relax the muscles. Only two women masseuses have ever given me massages, one being one of my exW's good friends and the other my best friend's daughter. The former was no issue, being perfectly professional; the latter, hmm, she was a bit too friendly for my good boundaries, so I spent most of the time talking about stuff she and her husband were doing. TBH, absent the obvious differences, I've found both men and women to be equally as effective. If I want a massage with a 'happy ending', I'll get it from my GF or spouse. That way she gets a 'happy ending' too, since I like giving massages as much as receiving them.
