CharlotteCraig Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 This is my first day on this site, so hello and nice to meet you. I am guessing I am older than most of you! Being 53. I am a single woman with no family and work from home, so I desperately need to make some decent new friends. Not to get advice. I do not need to be told I should go out more etc. I know all that. Much easier said than done when you live out in the middle of nowhere and cannot afford a car etc. I work online so am not wanting people to chat to online, I do that with clients who pay me to email them, and the computer is something I want to get away from, not spend more time on, so it would be meeting up friends and phone friends I seek. I have lots of hobbies, love dogs, am educated, sane, caring. I usually attract people who want to phone me when they are sad and want free advice, no thanks. I want friends who are like me, jolly, happy, balanced, chatty, positive when talking to their friends.
