Hi,

Over christmas a good friend of mine told me how she wanted to set me up with her fiance's cousin. I was hesitant but agreed. The guy she wanted to set me up with messaged me on facebook several times prior to us meeting and seemed friendly and nice. My friend arranged a double date and the guy and I hit it off. He texted me that same night on his drive home and called me the very next day. He texted me multiple times a day for an hour or so at a time. We went on our first date alone and it was literally perfect which we both agreed on. There wasn't a single moment of awkwardness or silence. He sent my friend that set us up a long message about how much he liked me .We continued texting/calling the whole next week and that weekend I went to hang out with him at his house. He lives an hour away and I was exhausted and in a bad mood, but wanted to see him, so I went anyway. Things were going ok we were just hanging out on his couch watching a movie when he left me alone in the living room for like 15 minutes putting stuff away. I started being a typical girl and feeling super uncomfortable and like he was trying to get me to leave by leaving me alone like that. He came back into the living room as I was putting on my shoes to leave and asked if I was mad that he left me alone and I lied and said no but he apologized and came back and sat down. I felt sooo awkward after that that I acted kind of rude and barely talked after he came back. I left soon after and just barely gave him a hug. I texted the next day to apologize and things seemed ok. He wasn't texting me as much so I gave him a call the day after that just to chat and apologize again. We got into this long awkward conversation about how he felt like iwe were too different and he was indifferent about me. But then he said he wanted to forget he ever said that and wanted to see how things went. We had tickets to go to a play together the next weekend and he said he still wanted to come even though he was sick/out of work all that week with the flu. He came and we went to the play and it went fine and he said he had a really good time. I texted him the next day to see how he was feeling and to thank him for coming. I didn't hear from him til 3 days later when he texted to see how my week was and asked me what was holding me back from textint him. But then when I tried to make plans with him he said he was too busy and when I asked him about the following week he said well see. So why did he text and all that if he didn't want to see me again? Don't get it. Did I totally screw this up?

lol I managed to read that even without the aid of paragraphs. Your attitude/reaction to being left alone for 15 minutes (as you said) was screwed up. I don't blame the guy for cooling off.
