Hi Guys,

Guess this is a good place to start, Ive recently split with mygirlf of 5yrs, we were close and spoke about family and the future but we started arguing about a year ago and we split up about a 2 months ago, we went through the "just sleeping together" part which lasted a week or so but we had another arguement and now it seems like its done for good,

we argued when we were toghether about her txting other guys (one of which asked her out a few times just after we split but she turned him down) i got alittle immature and sent some bad txts to her (because of the anger and sense of rejection) now we still txt each other, she seems upest alittle about us not being togheter but when i ask about how she feels she says she doesnt no and she doesnt think we can do anything to help our situation.

Ive now got a new job and a good looking future, im just hung up on if i should move on or hang around for her? your thoughts on the situation would be a great help. thanks

Do both. Stop contact with her for the time being, to give both of you guys time to think. Work on your issues, trust being the biggest one. No trust would ruin a second chance. And if this girl is worth it you can always try again, but you need to at least give you guys some time apart, whether it be a month or more. A break is needed in relationships some time, and this break is perfect to see if you guys are really compatible, from a completely objective standpoint.

You can go out and have fun in this time, don't cling to the hope of getting back together with your ex which is by definition moving on. But at the same time it's okay to keep that hope if you do decide you want to get back together with her. Since you are the dumper though, you're the one who's going to have to work to win her back.
