J0N Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 So last month I set up a profile on a dating website, I have not met up with anybody yet on it. I have been emailing one girl who seems pretty cool though. My buddy set me up with a friend of his new girlfriend. I have only hung out with her once but she seems really cool, and I am attracted to her (& I think she likes me too). I think I am ready to start dating again; it’s been almost 5 months since my BU. I feel ready to take the next step forward in my life. I have asked my friends not to tell my ex, because honestly I don’t want to hurt her feelings if she still cares. However if she finds out, I really don’t care; after all she did dump me. I am mostly just trying to avoid any friction or problems. I am probably going to take this new girl out (just us) this week, I was thinking about taking her out sometime last this week then should I should I invite her out again on Valentine’s Day? Or would that be too much too soon? I feel like I forgot how to do this, and I am constantly asking questions like a 13 year old. I just don’t want to blow it. Any advice??
NeNinja Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Ugh...I hate this question because A: I don't really know the answer and B: I've been asking myself the same thing Valentine's Day is horrible when you've just started seeing, not even dating someone. You run the risk of coming on too strong against the risk of disappointing the girl on the 'most romantic day of the year.' I honestly had no idea, so I cheated and asked one of the mutual friends who had gotten us together. I was leaning towards play it cool, and not being creepy BUT her friend said that she is expecting me to do the whole Valentine's Day thing. So I guess my best answer is ask someone else
