Is it possible for a person with chest problems, and not just that..tons of other problems.like knees etc so that i can't do squats.. and can't even bend my knees fully. to get strong to the point of being descently strong with visible muscles.. like bruce lee or something.

is it possible?

Cause i have that. i have those health problems but i want to get strong too.

But i cant do squats and can't do much leg strengthening because i can't bend my knees very much. and i cant move my chest too much cause i have spinal problem that is giving me chest pain for a long time.

But let's say i find a way to not hurt myself, ..then by just using 20lb weights, would it be possible to get strong?

soon i will be starting some physical therapy but as i get better, i wanna continue getting stronger.

BTW, why 20lb? well cause more than that is kind of dangerous for me.

You should ask your doctor if you should be working out. Unfortunately I don't think it's easy to get strong using only 20 pounds weights, you may have to work out for hours in that case because you really need to push your muscles to their limits. May I ask what your ailments are and can they be cured? Please just try to get better through physical therapy first, that should be your priority. You should talk with your doctor and physical therapist at a later time about whether you should workout, what kind of exercises you should do, and for how long and how much weight. It's hard enough to workout regularly when you're healthy so don't push yourself too hard or else you'll be in an early grave or a more painful situation.

You will not get very strong lifting 20 lb. weights. You will also not put on a lot of muscle. That doesn't mean that you should not strive to improve with what you have.

If you want a "Bruce Lee" look, I would certainly not discount the 20 lb weights, but my focus would be on bodyweight exercises like push ups, pull ups, etc. Getting your diet extremely clean will be your main hurdle in getting more visibly "ripped".

As far as your physical limitations, you'll need to either fix them or work around them. Take your physical therapy seriously and work on the things they tell you to do outside of office visits.

This is all that need be said.

It depends how many you lift at once :D

Haha, I'm picturing someone trying to hold 3-4 lb. dumbbells in each hand. That would probably end with some knarly looking fingers.
