So sadly enough, the first ebook I purchased for my Kindle was Tucker Max's trashfest I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell...I know most of it is probably made up or grossly embellished, but I find it moderately humorous and entertaining, and it paints a faint picture of the life I completely missed out on because I was too busy feeling sorry for myself...so I'm more or less living vicariously though it...

One of my good friends and I have coined the term "predatory mindset" for the approach used by Tucker, where he predates the weak and insecure women, much like a lion in the savannah would hunt down the slow or crippled antelope. It seemed to work for him...

So gents, have you ever lived such a life? Did you find it favorable? And ladies, at any point in your life, did these types of alcohol saturated douchemuffins actually appeal to you? Favorable...?

Just curious...

Not even remotely. It kind of revolts me, to be honest. I have a hard time believing that he managed to talk any of the girls into some of the things I read. I couldn't read it all. It kind of pissed me off.

No self respecting girl would have anything to do with such a miserable human being.

Tucker Max's stories are pretty amusing, but he's nothing short of scum. Only low self-esteem women would fall for his antics, which may be more common than most women are willing to admit.

I would never want the kind of women who responded well to this sort of thing. Even when I was a player I always picked women I thought were on the same page as I was.

Yep, live it now. It is very favorable. I don't go the alcohol induced route much, but there have been times where it sure made things a hell of lot 'o fun.

I totally agree. He is the antithesis of all I find good in this world...and I even see the same kind of sh*t in real life with mine own eyes...so it's no secret...

Seconded. His behavior and lifestyle is not exactly something a decent guy would ever feel like he "missed out on" either.

Why is he even famous? His antics are a good read but then when you remember it's reality, it's just disgusting.

Why, Hokie, would you purchase his book?

I consider him a role model. I don't like how you all are talking about him.

Why would someone purchase a magazine that "reveals" the top ten things you didn't know about men in the bedroom?

It was only $5... :rolleyes::laugh:

I think The Count of Monte Cristo is free.

I'd laugh at you if you spent anymore than that.

Must have been the bottom of the barrel type of women his antics worked on, assuming the stuff in that book was real.

Correct. That is the 4th or 5th book I got whilst I was scouring the Top 100 free books.

You already laugh at me for other things. :p

But I agree, definitely not the most ideal women that you'd want to be courting...but I'm guessing at that point in his life, he wasn't exactly looking for an ideal woman...just an easy one...

Yep.

Btw Chokie don't let these higher than thou responses here bring you down, you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. You want to get laid just like the rest of us.

Kind of off topic, but somewhat relevant.

This is quite possibly the most honest commercial I have ever seen. I applauded this yesterday.

Hokie you don't need to adopt any approach similar to what you read in that book. If you're looking an easy lay then by all means, but for something more worthwhile there are better ways to go about it.

Is it bad I never heard of him?:o

Damn, I should really try to stay up.with pop culture,

"I wanna sleep with her" lol -- do guys really think like that all the time?

I know, and I certainly want something more worthwhile. But I must admit that while reading it, I get curious as to how all that player life really is and wish I had the opportunity to go through the sowing oats phase. :o

:lmao::lmao: I recently watched "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" the other day.

Some of the scenes were funny, but others were downright vile.

I don't find TM remotely attractive physically. He is comical and intelligent but everything else about him in terms of his personality, kills it. There's also nothing sexually enticing watching a man boink a midget like an energizer bunny on crack. He was (or) is also a sex addict and an alcoholic.

If you are looking to adopt this lifestyle, I certainly wouldn't support or respect it. But if you're looking to adopt said lifestyle, me thinks respect has little to do with the equation.

The move was hysterical, especially what happened to him when he called a couple of women ugly.

you still have that opportunity if you want it. There will never be a shortage of needy and desperate women out there.

Yea, I read that the movie was awful. I would never go as far as to adopt his particular approach, because let's face it, this guy is just an assh*le. And I would never consume that much alcohol on a regular basis (gotta keep the girlish figure...) But it just gets me thinking about that that particular phase of life that many men go through that I sort of never got to experience.

That is all.

I have a problem with someone even buying that book - supporting that vile existence in any way is amoral. Sorry, just my two cents.

I find Tucker Max to be quite the amusing storyteller, if lacking in the human decency department. However, there is something to be said about the honesty with which he speaks about himself. Many of those stories do not paint him in the best light and he openly admits to being an easily bored attention whore. His father is a fairly well-known restaurateur in Florida. He is pretty much a poorer male version of Paris Hilton, if a better educated one. That said, his stories don't exactly surprise me. I've seen plenty of women easily taken in my the Tucker Max types in the world. Young, rich, and good-looking is a narcissistic combination. Hell, he admits it first thing on his website:

"My name is Tucker Max, and I am an a**hole.

I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging d*ckhead."

Bottom line is that while this is out there and certainly possible, it is more likely to lead to an STD than happiness.
