BettyBoop Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I was wondering how long you've been with your SO and how far ahead you can see yourself with him/her (in terms of years) and why?
Eeyore79 Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I've been with my bf for almost six months, and I could see myself happily staying with him for the rest of my life I've felt that way about a guy before, but it wasn't a realistic dream, because for various reasons he was unsuitable (e.g. he was an untrustworthy, unreliable cheater). My current bf is the first one with whom there has been some real potential. We get on well and have stuff in common, we find each other attractive, and I genuinely care about and respect him. From my side at least, this is a relationship which could last - all I need is for him to feel the same way

There's no sign of it ending anytime soon, and if things continue as they are, I could see myself marrying him. Pretty sure he feels the same. Too early to tell---gotta make sure the chemicals that affect my judgment wear off first.
Confusedalways Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I've been with mine for about 5 months and definitely see myself with him forever-- not just in a goo-goo ga-ga I love this relationship kind of way, but of course I see longevity in it. For people eventually seeking marriage, I've always assumed that anyone you would potentially date you would see in your future. I'm not exactly naming our kids yet, but when I think of my life however many years down the road, he's by my side
