I want to hold their hands and put my arm around them all the time. I'm away from them for 8 hours for work each day and that's enough separation/space for me.

Was insecure and thought that if I wasn't showering her with attention all the time she would notice she could do way better and move on. She did move on eventually, due to the fact I refused to give her enough personal space no matter how much she hinted she needed it. Just have to live and learn sometimes.
Pyro Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 what actions or amount of time together defines clingy to you OP? I was very clingy in my first relationship. That was due to inexperience and because she isolated me from my friends so I had no one in my life aside from her at the time.
Ross PK Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 I've only had one relationship which was online, I was very clingy too, worried that if I didn't give her enough attention she might leave me. And at 28 years of age it was the first time a girl had ever shown interest in me, so I'm sure this had something to do with it as well. She left me after 2 months. Now when I look back I cringe, so embarrassing, it was like I was behaving in a totally emasculated way or something. I've got absolutely no desire to be clingy again.
