Changed my name in her phone from pet name to my proper name. Said she wanted to do NC for a few months. A completely out of the blue break up after over 7 years. Didn't show any of the red flags I am supposed to be picking up. A couple weeks later dating guy from work that is "amazing". For my own ego I want to believe its because she was not over our relationship completely. Is this standard fair for someone dumping someone else?

Totally Wrong dude, she IS over the relationship completely. So much so that she is telling you these things to avoid telling you straight up not to contact her ever again because she knows she wont want to hear from you. She has to deal with a little guilt for not giving you a heads up months ago, and waiting till she finds someone new. Your only thing to do right now is to give her a massive guilt trip for deceiving you. it might not work, she might not care, but she is def over you for sure.
