Woggle Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Thoughts about this? http://nymag.com/news/features/70976
skydiveaddict Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 pornography poisons the soul. It also poisons the mind by twisting human intimacy and love into a purely carnal act.
Duckduckgoose Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I guess that's why some guys name their hands. Palmela Handerson Rosy Palms If they would rather jerk off then make love to a real woman then it's probably a good thing. They don't need to be contributing to the gene pool.
Author Woggle Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 While I don't agree with choosing porn over a woman I wish more women would at least take a look at women's role in this. We will never solve the gender issues of today until both sides are looked at but the debate always seems to be focused on blaming men and treating women as innocent victims. It's this approach that makes me get angry and start spewing hatred. I wish we would get into why many men are choosing porn instead of real women.
johan Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I wish we would get into why many men are choosing porn instead of real women. Fine, let's get into it. Two words: instant gratification. And another: myopia. And one more: rationalization.
Author Woggle Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Fine, let's get into it. Two words: instant gratification. And another: myopia. And one more: rationalization. It's not that simple.
johan Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 It's not that simple. I think it is. But I'm also not all that inclined to blame others for my own weakness. So I don't blame women for the stupid things men do.
hydorclops Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Instant Gratification is an excellent explanation.
jenifer1972 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Lame article. No pictures. :lmao: I'm up for the debate on the women who make the porn!
Jannah Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Thoughts about this? http://nymag.com/news/features/70976 Do you mean that some men like to watch porn? Who knew!
paleblue Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 could it possibility just be more convenient sometimes? it doesnt help that it's everywhere.
hydorclops Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 pornography poisons the soul. It also poisons the mind by twisting human intimacy and love into a purely carnal act. Meh, so what? People are getting rich from it. If it turns a profit, it's good.
sweetjasmine Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 It's not that simple. So if a young man who's been watching and jerking off to porn since he discovered the Internet when he was 13 gets accustomed to getting turned on by and getting off on fake images, then it's real women's fault for being so terrible and making him that way?
Author Woggle Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 So if a young man who's been watching and jerking off to porn since he discovered the Internet when he was 13 gets accustomed to getting turned on by and getting off on fake images, then it's real women's fault for being so terrible and making him that way? Porn provides much less drama than modern day women for the most part. That much is true. They are finding in porn fantasies what they are not finding in actual relationships.
sweetjasmine Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Porn provides much less drama than modern day women for the most part. That much is true. They are finding in porn fantasies what they are not finding in actual relationships. In other words, yes, it is women's collective fault that a guy who's been jerking off to porn since he was 13 continues to jerk off to porn when he's 20, 25, 30. Makes perfect sense, Wogs. So much for putting aside gender and taking a look at who contributes what to which problems.
fishtaco Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I've dated women that also enjoy porn. It's fun to watch it together.
Jannah Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Porn provides much less drama than modern day women for the most part. That much is true. somedude81 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Wow, lots of stupid men in that article. I can't imagine anybody choosing to be with porn over a real woman. Then again I never have sex, so just the thought of it is enough to excite me.
Author Woggle Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 In other words, yes, it is women's collective fault that a guy who's been jerking off to porn since he was 13 continues to jerk off to porn when he's 20, 25, 30. I never said it was all women's fault but porn is a symptom of how bad gender relations have become and both men and women have contributed to it.
2sunny Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 some men don't want to be bothered by the drama that certain females stir up. they would rather just go it alone than be pulled in to chaos...
fishtaco Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Oh, I guess I should read the article LOL. It's about porn addiction isn't it? Disregard my earlier post. It's irrelevant to this topic. My bad.
johan Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Porn provides much less drama than modern day women for the most part. That much is true. They are finding in porn fantasies what they are not finding in actual relationships. Any guy who seeks out porn to provide the fulfillment that is lacking in his relationship deserves to have his libido sapped from his body. Watching a football game or cleaning out the garage are both about 10 times more fulfilling than the best porn. Porn is about instant gratification of animal urges. It's brainless.
Author Woggle Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 Both of those things have no sexual aspect to them.
johan Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I never said it was all women's fault but porn is a symptom of how bad gender relations have become and both men and women have contributed to it. That's bunk. If porn was easy to access in 1750 or 1850 or 1950 men would have been equally distracted by it. It's not a new front in the gender wars.
