Puffys52 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Hi There i am new to the fourm. I am 25 years old and have been in a serious relationship for almost 2 years now. Recently, it has come to my attentions that in most relationships i have seen , it is usually the woman who is more dominant over the men in relationships. I have rarely seen men dominate their women. I don't know what to make of it. Is is instinct ? Is is normal for women to be more dominant than men. In my relationship with my bf (oh btw i'm bisexual) its been fairly mutual, but in some cases i have been mostly submissive and only once have i been dominant. I also want to know if starsigns play a big part in your relationship personality ? Thanks. Great fourm.
cerridwen Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Welcome. I'm not clear on the context of how you're using the terms dominant and submissive. You mentioned your sexuality so you mean dominant/submissive in the sexual sense? Or in terms of making daily decisions? I don't go by sun signs. I've found Enneagram personality types to be a more accurate gauge/influence in my relationships (romantic and otherwise).

It really doesn't really matter, as long the people involved are happy with their lot, that's all that matters. My sort of relationship is where leadership is interchangeable depending on our strengths and weaknesses. I'm not a fan of the term 'submissive'....it implies that I'm handing over control unwillingly rather than delegating certain tasks according to who's best suited to do them. I also want to know if starsigns play a big part in your relationship personality ? Star signs make for interesting conversational fodder but don't tend to be much good for anything else. At best, they're a start point but usually little more than that .
