CluelessGuy1986 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 A girl I really like who I have only been on a couple dates with has a birthday a day or 2 before Valentines day. I am not really sure how to approach this. I was going to ask to take her out for dinner for her birthday, is giving her chocolates and a Valentines card with maybe an inside joke at the same time a good idea? Is it too early in the dating/relationship to be worrying about Valentines day? Any advice is appreciated!

If you really like her there's nothing wrong with giving chocolates and a valentines card if that's what you want to do. She'll probably think it's a lovely romantic gesture. Obviously, you shouldn't buy a card that's mushy and sentimental but you can't really go wrong with a funny 'be my valentine' card. Ask her out for dinner. Bear in mind she may already have other plans with friends or family, so don't take a 'no' as a rejection. If she can't make it, suggest a different day to celebrate.
