When my BF and I stayed with my mom before we got married, I stayed in the guest room one night and he slept on the couch, and then we switched places. My mother isn't particularly modern, and I wouldn't have offended her for the world. I am sure she knows we were having sex, but we were not married and she told me outright that she wasn't comfortable with us sharing. We were never there for over 2 nights, and it just wasn't that big of a deal.
