Don't know what to make of this

I've been dating a girl for 4 or 5 months now and things have been really good for most of that time. For the past few weeks though, we have both been crazy busy with school and work, and we were starting to get a bit distant.

 

She would text me less than usual and seemed less enthusiastic during our conversations. I know she's insanely busy and is probably exhausted a lot of the time, but I was starting to get the idea that maybe she was losing interest somewhat.

 

So during a texting conversation, I just casually brought it up, saying I know we were both busy and that I felt we were getting a little distant from each other, but that I understood and I just wanted to make sure she was still happy with the relationship.

 

She got mad I asked her something like that over text message, didn't acknolwedge the question, and hasn't responded to me since.

 

It's just odd because a lot of our conversations are via text message. I didn't think it was a huge deal. If things were fine, wouldn't she have just

said so and not gotten so upset I brought it up?

 

But at the same time if she was feeling unhappy with things, wouldn't she welcome the fact that I brought up the topic?

 

I'm very confused. Anyone experience anything like this?

Early 20's. I guess that wasn't the best way to do it, but then I quickly apologized and offered to come over if she wasn't comfortable talking that way. She didn't respond.

Hate to say it, but I think your fears are justified and she's lost interest. Just fromwhat you posted it looks like she is just holding onto you lng enough to find someone else.
