Realitybites77 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Ok. The guy I've been seeing for the last 2 months (who I really like) told me I dont open up and my communication is generally superficial. He's right, I have a hard time opening up. Can anyone give me some actual sentences I can say to initiate conversations about feelings, goals, what we want from the relationship? Once I get started I have no problem talking. I can communicate ad nauseum with my friends. I just feel stupid right now, and I'm not. Help me get unstuck.

I would suggest you tell him exactly what you told us...that you have a hard time of opening up to him and that you don't really know how to do it. And let him take the lead from there.
