Gee, I had almost forgotten how annoying bars and lounges can be

She always told me that a lot of women are like hens. That as soon as they hear a rooster making noise, they will walk over to him, bend over, get what they want, and walk away. Then the rooster makes noise again, another hen walks over, and the cycle repeats. QUOTE]

 made me laugh that bit but its so true! it seems as if some women just make fun of guys by treating them like objects and because of that they get treated like that in return.

I refuse to go to bars and lounges. I hate the atmosphere and it seems like these places attract sleazy people.

I did a lot of clubbing and bar/pub hopping in my late teens and early 20s. Got to the point where I couldn't deal with the tiring after-effects and the people around me started to look very young. That's when I decided it wasn't for me anymore.

I still remember what it was like to go to these places just to hang out with my friends and dance with no other expectations. It wasn't until I realised that people actually go to these places to try to find someone to hook up with that I started to not enjoy it as much. And dancing was also not enjoyable when I realised that a lot of guys thought I was dancing for their enjoyment and not my own.

I enjoy bars/lounges/night life every other month or so. My friends and I (usually just 3 guys) will head out for good food, music and dancing. Do some people watching, which is never boring. Get tipsy. Play some pool. Chat up some ladies with usually little to no success and then head back home. Sometimes we head to the beach after the bar to shoot off fireworks or roman candles at each other then crash around 2 am. I'm 23 though so maybe when I get older my interests will change. I have no expectations except to have as much fun as possible with my buddies :)

Yea I used to be big on the club/rave scene. I used to go to tons of parties because I really enjoyed the music and dancing my ass off. I eventually became a DJ myself. I did meet a few women at those parties, but that was never my main objective for going to those events. The scene has slowed down considerably in NYC so I don't get out to those events like I used to. I thought a lounge would be a suitable replacement but I don't think so anymore.
