quietGuy13 Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I know many people try not to get pregnant but i hear stories and stories about unplanned pregnancy. So it means they were using condoms and tried to not get pregnant but we all know condoms are not 100 proof so some time they'll fail and youll get pregnant. Is that how it works? I've been thinking about this because if i had a GF, i would like to have sex( i can't because of medical reasons but let's say i could)for years before having any babies. But apparently it seems condoms are not good enough so youll eventually get pregnant even if you use condoms? Anyways, i'm unexperienced. It's just a question
SoleMate Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Condoms alone are not really reliable enough against pregnancy. Also, it makes a big difference whether both people are experienced with condoms or not. Yes, there is actually skill and training required to be fully effective with condoms.http://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-topics/birth-control/birth-control-effectiveness-chart-22710.htm To avoid pregnancy, it would be best to Have both you and your partner get competent medical adviceUse condoms PLUS another method, simultaneously (e.g. birth control pills or Depo-Provera) Good luck!
