mecoolhaha Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 This girl I have been seeing for about 3 weeks now to be my gf, she said "i was hopping that you wouldn't ask that" i said why, She said that she just got over being in a 2 year relationship" so i got rejected. I thought it was time because we have kissed cuddled holding hands hung out almost 7 times. She still talks to me the same and after she rejected me she told me to text her when I got home, what should I do here? Its the next morning do I send her a text or wait for her to text me? its only 9 oclock where I am.
simpsonic Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 It takes longer than 3 weeks to get over a 2-year relationship. Sounds like hers was pretty serious. IMO she's doing all these things with you to help her get over that relationship. Considering that situation, it was a bit soon for you to ask her to be your gf. Give her more time and she just might come around later! As for who should send a text, you can still text her. Just keep in mind that she doesn't want a new relationship just yet.
xpaperxcutx Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I would like to add that to the above poster that if you're planning to stay in contact with her in hopes to change her mind, most likely it'll just end up in heartbreak and you're best walking away now. However if you're sincere about being friends with her, staying in contact is A-ok. Just be aware that if she doesn't want to date you, you can never force the issue.
