Funf Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 At what point when you are dating someone new do you tell your friends about this person? After a few dates? When you're "official?" Or concrete time periods such as after a couple of weeks or a month? Other than my best friend, I usually like to wait a few months before telling all my friends because I don't want to speak too soon in case the relationship crumbles early on. I also want as little external interference as possible from my friends. Don't get me wrong; I think they are great people but I've had bad experiences in past relationships. But at the same time, I feel bad withholding a big secret from them. Some of them feel slightly insulted that I don't reveal this information earlier so I'm beginning to wonder if it's normal for people to tell their friends sooner rather than later?
USMCHokie Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Only if they ask...and they generally don't ask...
Star Gazer Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 When I'm excited about someone, I usually tell most of my girlfriends about him.
january2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 When at least one of the following conditions is true: if they ask;if we're talking about relationships;if I'm really excited.
phineas Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 If it goes further than a one night stand. Now meeting her is a whole different story.
