I was curious so I just came right out and asked. He had no problem telling me..prob cause his number is so low..

He didn't ask mine and I'm kinda happy about that. ;)

Yeah I always ask and i'm always truthful about mine. Latest guy when I asked him smirked and said he didn't know, but one night he said somewhere between 80 and 100. To which I was relieved because I'd guessed it at double!!!

You were relieved at 80-100!?!? I would have run...

The last man I asked was older than me and answered 7. I found this hard to believe but one of his relationships lasted for ten years and he was the faithful type so...it was probably true.

I don't mind answering but i'm below average compared to most women my age and not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

What's the average for most woman at such and such an age, would you say?

For my age i'd guess it would be about 7 ? Maybe more given the age most british people start having sex ,drink to excess and sleep around by "mistake".

I was with two older women (36 and 38) over christmas and they had both slept with at least 10 men each but if you aren't married then the numbers can probably creep up as you search for " the one".

I never asked but I have been asked. The guys who usually ask numbers range from 35 up. I had one guy ask me I told him the truth 3. He then turned around and asked "I thought said you never been a serious relationship?" ... I said I haven't - so I asked him his - he said " Around 35-40 but most of those were drunken one night encounters ..."

Yet he had the nerve to turn up his nose at my three.

Sure, when I was younger. Now, it pretty much doesn't come up. I tend to talk about past relationships at some point (his and mine, and what we've learned) but not the numbers.

Never asked but, for some sick reason, women seem to view me as their confessional :D

Lowest was six, highest was 'over 40', of the four women I've been sexually intimate with. Some women don't count 'one night stands' or 'drunken sex' so YMMV :)

Personally, like zengirl apparently tends to, I prefer to discuss relationship history and life lessons. I think that's good indication of synergy in the intimacy areas, an important component of compatibility. So, during such discussions, often the confessions begin ;)

So, op what's your #?

I've heard "whatever # the woman gives you, double it" but I've prefered not to follow that guideline, lol.

It comes up no matter how old you are IF a serious relationship.

My ex asked me when we first started dating, and I answered truthfully, 1. I then asked cause she did, and I was guy number 10 in two years.

At first I was uncomfortable, but as time went on, I just forgot about it, because frankly, in the end, it doesn't matter.

Also, the person I am dating now asked as well. Some people are just curious, others are cautious, in this case the new person was being cautious.
