Xewkija
My girlfriend and I recently broke up after 5 years and I'm having a hard time to deal with it, at some times though I forget about it and become really happy when I'm by myself. However as of right now I'm just trying to get my mind off everything by watching T.V. which probably is not the best thing. I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to go to the bar/club and drink or do you think that would make it worse (the drinking part) I'm going to school but I'm just miserable in school and don't want to be around anyone. I will also be seeing a therapist tomorrow for the first time.
USMCHokie
Therapist = good. Drinking = bad. Alcohol is never the solution to any problem. The only thing it will do is create more problems.

USMCHokie
Go to the Gym instead This. It will make you feel good and also look good. And you might even meet someone...
Author Xewkija
I thought about the gym but we use to go to the gym a lot... Just thinking of it upsets me.
WindyWaves
I agree with the working out thing. That is going to be my strategy. I don't like gyms, so I like to go for hikes, etc. Maybe you could do outdoor stuff, like hiking, running, working out in a park, etc if the gym has too many memories. I would advise against the drinking. I am tempted to do it myself but I know it is not going to help anything.
