tgr172 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Flirting rule #1: Flirting with a single man (and some attached men) will almost always get his interest and he will think there must be something there. That’s just the way it is. Flirting rule #2: He will try to make something happen. Some will be smoother than others (the "nice" guy approach as opposed to the frontal "I'm going for it" tactic) but the simple fact is there will be some action with a purpose. Flirting rule #3: If you see him take action and you aren't interested, become progressively aloof so he knows it isn’t what he thinks, that you're not "coming on to him". If he persists, do a 180 so he knows beyond doubt that he has gone over the line. If you do neither of these then you are communicating to him and everyone else that he is correct in his perceptions and you are indeed interested in him. Flirting rule #4: A man doesn't mind his woman flirting some. It's nice knowing that his woman is desirable. But if you lose situational awareness and he gets "thrown under the bus" in your desire to get someone elses attention then it's not cool, especially if you have any feelings for your man. Flirt away, but be sure to let the target know "don’t go there" its just an innocent game and that your taken. Done subtly at first and more direct if it comes to that.. It's called respect for who you're with. You have a choice at this point you can be more concerned about hurting youre targets ego or the person you're attached to... Pick one! Do this as boldly as your flirting was. Flirting rule #5: If you are attached and have to consistantly "come on" to other men and keep playing it right to the edge then you aren't attached to the right man. Try attatching to the a popular (one everybody wants) or the center of attention guy so you will be too occupied keeping his attention so you don’t have time to spend coming on to other men.
moloko Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Flirting rule #1: Flirting with a single man (and some attached men) will almost always get his interest and he will think there must be something there. That’s just the way it is. I'd say that is accurate, with the exception of a committed man who will not cheat or flirt back in disrespect of their SO. Flirting rule #2: He will try to make something happen. Some will be smoother than others (the "nice" guy approach as opposed to the frontal "I'm going for it" tactic) but the simple fact is there will be some action with a purpose. again, if single and interested, I'd say this is accurate. Flirting rule #3: If you see him take action and you aren't interested, flirting is an indication of interest. if not interested, why flirt? to toy with someone? Flirting rule #4: A man doesn't mind his woman flirting some. only a man that likes to flirt himself and show interest to other women, or a guy that simply could care less if the relationship lasts or not. It's nice knowing that his woman is desirable. no, its nice knowing that I desire her. thats all that matters.
Author tgr172 Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 Agree with some of ur comments #1 I have to disagree in that if a man is single (which means there is no SO) then a flirt will almost always get his attention. Single men have their antenna's up and take any extra attention as a sign. Some (repeat SOME) attached men will react for that ego fix. #2 Been out and seen the interest from a flirt with a single man. They will check in. Nothing is 100% but most women should expect that if they flirt they will be aproached or flirted with in return. #3 Well some women flirt to get attention and to be honest because they want to be desired. Some are just flirty by nature. But when it causes problems they try to act like its no big deal and there really isnt a problem. The guy was just being friendly. This post is for those women who feign ignorance. #4 Cant get all upset because someone looks at ur woman nor get upset if she finds someone intreguing and carries on a conversation and men try, repeat try, to move in. Im not Islamic or possessive I have female friends that I have no interest in as anything but. Women are the same. It is a bit of a good feeling knowing that a woman is considered desirable. The point is and I am trying to make the point is that its what SHE does to show who she has eyes for when someone thinks they can move in. End result is that some women are overly friendly, or flirty by nature, or maybe try to feel like thay still have it take it to the edge and cant understand what the problem is when a man gets tired of looking like a chump when she doesent make the point that she is happy with who they have. Its understanding how to not be disrespectful to their SO.

ACCK! #4 Cant get all upset because someone looks at ur woman nor get upset if she finds someone intreguing and carries on a conversation and men try, repeat try, to move in. Its natural. Its the interactions that become a problem since flirting is telling one person to another, "hey, I am in to you and I'm letting you know it"
