Yesterday I gave my 2 weeks notice to my boss, whom I have been working for for the last 3 years, to move away from all the pain and loneliness of the current city in which I reside. I decided that I needed to make a personal change to make me feel happy again even though my future is a little uncertain as of now. All I know is that I am moving back to a city that I love and that gives me some satisfaction.

Long story short, thinking back to yesterday to the conversation I had with my boss regarding leaving, I noticed something that was eerily similar to my break up. I told him I was going to leave not because I wanted to, but because I felt that I had to to find happiness and balance within my life once again. He rebuttled by trying to give me incentive to stay, and then offered an open door if I decided to return sometime down the road. I thought about what he said but still felt like it was the right thing to do for me no matter what he offered.

This whole scenario more or less mirrored the exact same thing I went through 3 months ago with my ex except this time the tables were turned. In an odd way it gave me some piece of mind knowing she left not necessarily because she despised our relationship, but that she just felt the need to find what make her happy again. I hope I made the right decision regarding straying from my career path for now and starting fresh again. Nevertheless, I do feel like I am turning over a new page in my life and that gives me satisfaction. :)

Yeah but I bet you'll be in a new job in a couple weeks anyway.

Ha! That's funny because I already did take another job that is much more exciting and fun. Wow, now I feel like a POS.
