The next time you're feeling sad, betrayed and/or having painful thoughts about your Ex and the breakup, stop and gently/kindly say to yourself: Yes, I know you're hurting. You feel so betrayed and I'm sorry. You have every right to feel this way. I hope this helps someone. It really does "soften" the blows so to speak.
