I just read a thread on another breakup site that offered a great technique for self-validation (the best kind).

 

The next time you're feeling sad, betrayed and/or having painful thoughts about your Ex and the breakup, stop and gently/kindly say to yourself:

Yes, I know you're hurting. You feel
so
betrayed and I'
m
sorry. You have every right to feel this way.

 

 

I hope this helps someone. It really does "soften" the blows so to speak.
