Really good post! It addresses almost everything and it was said in a calm rational way. I didn't see anything bitter, angry or miserable about it, did anyone else? ;)

 

 

I have said this a million times... it isn't so much WHAT is said - It's more HOW it's said. Same point can come across without hurtful, personal jabs.

 

It's all about communication and how you want to be heard. If your intent is to inflict pain, then keep doin what your doin. If you are here to actually help and show people the err's of their ways, then perhaps a different approach is more suitable in order to be heard.

 

I'm just glad this thread was created because now I can go to ONE place to find all the posters to add to my ignore list that I don't care to ever read about :D

P.S. Hey, how much do you want to bet someone will make a comment about how I should either:

 

a) treat myself with some respect and remove myself from the A/R

or

b) have some compassion for the BS and remove myself from the A/R

or

c) remove myself from the A/R before I even TALK about how others should have compassion and respect?

How about this: You continue to do, say and post whatever you want (within the guidelines of the site) and I will do the same.

 

I don't see many people here telling you what to do. What I see are people voicing opinions. If you don't like the opinions, that is not the fault of the person who posted.

 

If you feel that a person is angry, bitter and/or miserable because they don't agree with you then I guess that is how you choose to see it. If you don't like how a person acts, again your choice to have that opinion.

 

You have the choice to call me bitter as much as I have the choice to call you pathetic. But, here is the difference, I never called you pathetic.

 

You seen to think it's OK To make sweeping statements calling people angry, bitter and miserable. However, I really don't mind as that is your opinion.

Personally, I think you'd be better served at a forum that caters to those who have serious problems dealing with, talking with, and supporting OW/OM.

 

And maybe you would be better off in a forum that caters to OW only.

This thread is full of miserable people. If you don't like what infidelity does, don't post in this forum.

I agree. This may not be a great place for a person who really does not want to see what infidelity does to everyone involved.

It's true about how it's said, but we shouldn't discount that what one person finds offensive another will not.

Actually this is what I think of you Bent......when I first came here and read some of your posts and I don't recall if some were aimed toward me or not, could have been. ;)

Anyway.........I did think you were bitter and more than a little bit harsh. Since that time, I've grown to like you, respect you and sometimes you have a wicked dry sense of humor that cracks me up and now I don't think of you as bitter, I think you just tell it like you see it and yes it's harsh and it offends sometimes and sometimes I don't agree with you, but it's you..........and I like YOU and I think your intent to help someone or give them a dose of harsh reality is not of ill means.

(1) Restricted to OW's who want to share good experiences ... and

 

(2) Accusing LS posters of being mean, etc.

 

Fallen Angel felt there should be a forum strictly for OM/OW .. and AngeletteX appears to be trying to restrict - or complain about members as well.

 

If there was a reincarnation, why try the same thing all over again.

I believe there are forums for OM/OW that don't allow BW's to post. Here at LS, the mods let anyone post as long as they adhere to the guidelines.

 

Seems to me she is just trying to bait the bitter, angry, miserable people so that she can feel better about herself. What else could be gained by a thread like this?

 

Hope you are getting what you want AngeletteX. I would hate to let you down.
