Nexus One Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I'm not sure PM'ing is possible on these forums. I haven't encountered the feature yet. Although I haven't looked around for it very thoroughly either.
LeaningIntoTheMuse Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I believe this forum is moderated, yes. However, I haven't a clue as to who the mods are.
denise_xo Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Grampi, use the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the page. PMs become available after you've been a member for a while.
TaraMaiden Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 If so, please send me a PM. Thanks. Yes, there are. use the "contact us" facility to write to them, as pointed out by denise.... They won't send you a PM. Why would they? you haven't given them any reason to. I mean, they don't know why you want them to contact you. So it's up to you, to write to them first, surely? I'm not sure PM'ing is possible on these forums. I haven't encountered the feature yet. Although I haven't looked around for it very thoroughly either. PMing is possible on these forums when you have achieved a certain number of posts. It prevents spammers and trolls mass-bothering members upon first joining, and ensures you are joining with "The right intentions". Once you get this total of posts under your belt, you can PM members who have achieved or passed this number themselves. You will still not be able to PM people with fewer posts. A member who has been here since 2008, but had fewer posts than the statutory count is still unable to send PMs. They tried - and failed.
Author grampi Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 I've sent them messages twice using the "Contact Us" form, but I've received no responses, nor have they done what I've asked of them, so I'm assuming they're either not getting my messages, or they're ignoring them.

Grampi, the mods are busy people too, with lives of their own to attend to, that's probably why you have received no response as of yet.
anne1707 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 There is only one Mod and the poor guy needs a chance to have a sleep, eat, have a life of his own. Give him a more reasonable amount of time to get back to you.
TaraMaiden Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 What do you want them to do? Delete your profile? Delete a thread? Erase all evidence of you ever having been here? As a Moderator myself on three other forums, if it's one of those, I could answer the question and give you reasosn why....
Author grampi Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 What do you want them to do? Delete your profile? Delete a thread? Erase all evidence of you ever having been here? As a Moderator myself on three other forums, if it's one of those, I could answer the question and give you reasosn why.... You probably could answer the question, but since you're not a mod on this site, you don't have a need to know why...
carhill Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 OP, considering your threads are about real or potential affairs, if there is any compelling personal information included which might identify the people involved, provide those specifics to admin and they'll consider taking actions you request. That said, my experience here has been that admin clearly falls on the side of what is published stays as long as it conforms to the TOS and TOU (the 'rules'). We're responsible for the content of our own posts, even to our own detriment. You're a mature man with a lot of life experience so I'm sure that's no surprise to you. Hope it works out.
Cee Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I suggest that you post your question in the sub forum, "Loveshack. org Questions and Comments." If the question is more of a personal nature, you can simply create a thread about how to ask a "X" type question. Be sure to read the FAQ first in case there is an answer in there already. Tony is pretty good at responding to questions in that forum.
Mme. Chaucer Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I've sent them messages twice using the "Contact Us" form, but I've received no responses, nor have they done what I've asked of them, so I'm assuming they're either not getting my messages, or they're ignoring them. I don't think the mod(s) are here to do our bidding ... can you imagine the burden? As I understand it, the function of moderation is to see that the posters adhere to the guidelines and TOS of LoveShack. If there are attacks or other blatant trespasses, if you select "contact us" and communicate your concern, the mod will take action if they deem it appropriate.
