Jazzari Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 My Match account expired so I thought I would give POF a try. I was on for about 10 minutes before I decided it wasn't for me. You have to wait 24 hours before deleting your account. So I removed my photo and replaced all the information with "delete" so I wouldn't be getting responses within the 24 hour time frame. I'm getting TONS of emails and even got a "gift". WTF??? Why would anyone email a blank page? Somone once told me that being on an online dating site was good for the ego. That's pretty hard to agree with, when a blank page gets that much action.

Author Jazzari Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Actually, the ego comment was an accusation meant to be nasty. The guy who said it didn't approve of me being on a dating site. I'm definitely not on a site for the boost. But for those who are, its a pretty empty one.
jerbear Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I've heard both positive and negative comments about POF. My personal experience was negative but the "delete" and empty page is just interesting. I guess it is just people responding to new people without reading the profile.
