lets face it, we've all been very nosey when it comes to your ex dating another person after you, ive noticed that her personality is quite similar to mine, but we look completely different, have different fashion sense (shes a goth) and she is far more intelligent than me.

I know i shouldnt care but what does it mean when they date someone very similar to you? or what if they date someone completely opposite to you?

do ex's date opposites to get you out of there head?

They have a type. They don't have a type. They missing having sex. They don't want to be lonely. Could be due to a number of reasons.

But, as you wrote, you shouldn't care.

Me:

  • 20 yrs old
  • College graduate (engineering)
  • 6'3"
  • 215lbs
  • Know how to dress
  • Don't do drugs
  • Have my head on straight
  • I have a drivers license and a vehicle
  • Hate partying/clubbing

My ex's new bf:

  • 18yrs old
  • High school drop out
  • Former drug addict/dealer
  • Wears earings
  • 5'6"
  • 150lbs (If that)
  • Drivers license taken away (legal issues)
  • Pants on the ground (hahaha)
  • In AADAC (drug rehab)
  • Loves partying/clubbing

So basically, a complete 180 from me. Frankly, I could give a $hit about him. She told me about him and all I did was laugh. Good luck with that! Maybe in the near distant future I'll run into him when he's pumping the gas in my Bently.

And to think, I was going to propose to her next year. Oh well, her loss. My new (soon to be gf) is one drop-dead gorgeous girl. 2yrs older then me, and she has her degree in nursing! This ones a keeper :)

I agree, you shouldn't care either, but I do understand the curiousity. My ex and I broke up six weeks ago today. I found out three weeks after the split that within 2 days of dumping me, he was talking to a girl off the personals who was younger than me, but the physical similarities between us were so striking that it was almost creepy. It wasn't just a matter of same height, hair & eye color...I mean, she looked like me...so much that she could have been my twin, even down to her nose & her smile. I mean, I was shocked. As far as intellectually speaking we're nothing alike, but damn...talk about replacement filler. And that's not to knock her, because I'm quite sure she knew nothing about me, but sometime I wonder if she did, if she'd be just as shocked about how much we looked alike as I was.

Fortunately, I'm happy to say that I don't seem to have the same look-alike issue that my ex does...the new guy that I've moved onto is nothing like my ex...thank gawd...lol...;)
