kalena9488 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 BF and I broke up 3 weeks ago and he moved out of my house. He has an okay job but doesn't bring home enough money each week to share in half the expenses because of the child support he pays for three kids still under the age of 18. But, the main reason I finally decided to have him leave after two years was pot. He smokes it and I kept finding it. I didn't know this when we started dating. But when I found out I gave him many many chances to be honest with me and let me make my own decisions about if I wanted to be with him or to quit doing it. Well, each time he's said he'd quit but I kept finding it. This last time I found it he was already on the way to move out. I came home from work and found seeds floating in my toilet. I fished them out cracked one and smelled it then looked them up on the internet and it was no doubt that's what they were. When I finally confronted him that night about them he had nothing to say at all. No explanation, nothing. So, I accelerated his move out to the day after Xmas. He moved out Xmas day, for drama I suppose. But, a week or so later when I ask about the seeds again he tells me they had been in this safe he had in his closet for about a year and since he was moving out he was clearing it and found them in there and was just getting rid of them. I think this is just the story he was able to come up with, finally. Does anyone know if pot seeds disintergrate, or get old or dry rot or something if you'd had them for quite some time and not plant them? And what other reason would you have pot seeds other than to plant them? You don't smoke them do you? You smoke just the leaves or buds I guess they call them right? I'm just trying to figure all this out. He wants to keep seeing me, says he's not doing that anymore etc... Really the same stories he's told me for quite some time everytime I find the stuff. I just can't understand why someone would put so much energy into trying to keep seeing someone if they don't really care and don't really mean well.
LucreziaBorgia Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Pot seeds keep for a long time. Eventually over time they become less viable but it takes a while depending on how you store them. Some people plant them, some sell them to other growers if they came from a particularly good strain. Honestly though - I'm not sure that it should make much of a difference. He's a pothead 'check in the mail' dad with three kids and no way to hold up his end of things financially even though he evidently has enough money to keep weed around on a regular basis. I just can't understand why someone would put so much energy into trying to keep seeing someone if they don't really care and don't really mean well. He probably figures you'll put up with his sh*t and make it easy to have a place to stay where he isn't expected to be particularly responsible.
