My ex girlfriend and I broke up ~a month ago. I haven't seen her and have had very minimal contact. I have run into one of her friends on two out of three 'dates' with a girl I met the week after we broke up. (It's nothing serious, she knows nothing is going to happen.)

Tonight we (the new girl and I) were in the town where my ex lives at a mutual friends birthday party. At the bar we picked up where we had left off talking and flirting a little/lot.

Long story short, my ex ended up at the same bar with some of her friends about an hour later. About five minutes later we made eye contact and I did what came naturally: I smiled at her and gave a little shrug. She came over to the booth the 'new girl' and I were sitting in with a few other people. I was on the outside so we could talk pretty easily. We exchanged the basic hello's and what are you up to's. Nothing too shocking until...

She said your hair has gotten long (it had almost always been buzzed while we were dating)...and proceeded to run her fingers through it grab a handful right in front of the 'new girl' and her friends. Was she making a play? marking her territory?

I completely surprised myself when she did this. I turned and looked at her so she had to let go and said, "Haaaave you met Julie? (The new girl)"

Her jaw hit the floor. We said our goodbye's and have a goodnight's pretty quickly after that and she and her friends were out of the bar in the next ten minutes.

WOW. Thank you No Contact for making me awesome again and giving me my power back!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Oh no, she didn't! :D Geez, if I recall correctly, didn't she dump you? What's her business getting all touchy feely with someone she left behind?

Your ex is so awkward, sorry to say. At least in this case, she is so awkward. This story made me laugh so much. Thanks for sharing it! Also, if her friends are really her friends, I hope they called her out on running her hands through your hair. That's a privilege she gave up by breaking up with you, buddy. I really hope they called her out on that. I would've if she were my friend. She absolutely cannot do that to you anymore, unless you give her permission (as if you would though, you know what I mean?).

You are no longer her territory to mark. She needs to go piss on someone else's tree.

Funny how she shows up at the bar after you are already there. Its like they got spies or something.

Geez, she may as well have pee'd on the table to mark her territory!

That's definitely a good story, hope the new girl actually DOES go somewhere, you sound like you're doing really well.

And here I was thinking that every dumpee's dream was to get back their ex

Looking back it was even better because the same thing happened over Thanksgiving break only she was the one being introduced to a girl who was coming on a little too strong in the bar.

Almost expected a call or text from her when I woke up this morning. Nope. I had one from her 'bestfriend's' boyfriend that said 'Heard what happened. LMFAO.' So the story is making the rounds.
