It was a pretty small sample of people. And says nothing about the mental state of the participants. For example there are a many men who like women they can control, so of course they would prefer women who have been dumped.

 

I wouldn't choose to take such a small study seriously.

I would rather date a man who's ex cheated on him and dumped him than a man that cheated on his ex. Because most likely, he'll be treating me the same way.

I'm kind of suspicious of this as well. I guess it makes sense but I bet there are enough exceptions to the rule that this isn't super meaningful.
