Jannah Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 This is a song that is a comparison to the motto "Don't Worry, Be Happy"...as in....sh*t happens.
AcaciaStrain Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 City and Colour http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-Xoc6yWB94&feature=fvst BMTH - Don't go Slight contrast in the 2 songs. 2nd one me and her use to listen to alot in her car and the reminds me of her the most. 1st one i've been listening to non stop after the break up.

FRDSSTR Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 A couple good ones from Sister Hazel that can be helpful when the ex acted like a jerk. Always made me feel better since they're both about taking back control of your life. From the Fortress CD: Thank You Give In
TheThinker Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I have to admit i dont have a breakup song ... I cant bring myself to listen to music still at the minute but ... This new song by Noah And The Whale is no doubt VERY VERY RELEVANT to a lot of people at the minute Its called L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N. and it sounds a lot like "The Kinks - Lola"
sooobroken Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I thank my friend Janus for this great recommendation...never liked country until i heard this song...give it a listen many of you will be able to relate. The Long Goodbye - Brooks and Dunn
Lil1 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Here without you by 3 Doors Down. Makes me cry everytime but it also gives me hope that someday someone will feel this strongly about me
california15 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Love You - Jack Ingram A little bit stronger - Sara Evans
Distant78 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I have too many damn songs on my iphone that helped me through my divorce. But some of them are: kanye west-heartless johnny cash-hurt shiny toy guns-you are the one michael jackson-dirty diana And many many many others!
Distant78 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 .......and now I want "I'm moving on" songs!!! Got too many of those to name also! kanye west-can't tell me nothing chris brown-deuces mariah carey-shake it off usher-papers
SerenaG Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 He's Not a Boy by The Like. I almost choked when I heard the lyrics: Even when he lies he means every word he says His delusions find their way inside your head And he knows that beauty lies But he likes it by his side Just to take it for a ride until the mystery dies Wow they got it.
FRDSSTR Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I'm probably a little older than most of you, but if you want to feel like crap - the Forever Blue CD by Chris Issak. Every track is a breakup song. Shadows in a Mirror gets to me the most. Also, Spellbound by the Smithereens.

Fooshoo Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Streets of Philadelphia- Bruce Springsteen I know it is about AIDs but its one of the most powerful songs I might have ever heard. Everyday will be like a holiday -William Bell This is an odd on maybe, because its not really about losing, but rather getting someone back. But its one of those how you feel if only they would just come back. Burn my shadow- UNKLE We are all floating in space -Spiritualized We did it when we were young- Gaslight Anthem

thisguyagain Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I kind of have periods of staying strong interrupted by the odd lapse, like today, in which case this song; 'Like the Wheel' by Tallest Man on Earth, really resonates: And when I'm having one of my stronger days and I can see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel (but I know I still love her deep down), this one seems so fitting; 'My Door is Always Open' by Noah and the Whale.
