Well on Friday while I was at work my ex made contact with me for the first time in about 2 months. It was a simple "how r u" text and we had a small chit-chat exchange. It kinda cheered me up just to know that I was on her mind (even in a small capacity).

All weekend my mind pondered why she reached out to me out of the blue and I decided to check her fb page monday morning. BIG MISTAKE. All I saw were status updates about her bar-hopping, hitting the town with her girlfriends, and getting hit on by random guys.

This kinda hurt, but fortunately it didnt set me back in NC. All it did was make me wonder about two different things:

1. Why would she reach out to me when the last thing she said to me were along the lines of "move on! get a life and leave me alone!"???

And more importantly:

2. Why does she suddenly have an interest in bar-hopping and hitting the party scene? When I first met her, and during the course of our relationship, she was a sweet, quiet, innocent girl. She used to look down on girls who always went out all the time getting drunk. Now she participates in this lifestyle.....I was more dissapointed in her than sad. Its like the sweet girl I knew has been corrupted.

she's f**kin' with you. Ignore her.

People change after breakups. They need to break away from the norm for a while, or permanently. She might have contacted you to genuinely want to know how you feel, or she might have been messing with your head.

Either way, it doesn't matter. She's not part of your life. Delete her from your phone and block her on Facebook.

I myself haven't blocked my ex on Facebook yet. I should. But I haven't. We have no mutual friends and I resist checking her page.

Yea I know I shouldn't have checked her page. It was just curiosity after her reaching out to me. I have to tell myself not to

I just find it really strange that she had such a drastic change in lifestyle after it was over between us. It almost seems like she is being superficial, since she absolutely no interest in partying before we met.

I think a lot of times when a relationship ends, people party as a way of trying to cope with the situation and not having to deal with whatever type of emotions they are feeling. I know that when im out partying, im not thinking about ANYTHING lol. So maybe she is just using it as an escape from trying to deal with what she is really feeling?

Maybe she feels that she's moving on and wants you to do and feel the same.

This is interesting. The only ex girls that I ever heard from first were the one's that said during the course of the breakup, "Lose my name, lose my number, don't call." So, I listened to them. Everyone of them in due time always reached out to me with, "Why haven't you called?"

Those were the egotistical girls who wanted me to chase, when I obliged them with NC they couldn't take it. Guess who balanced the power?

Yea, me and my ex had a dynamic like that.

While we were together, when I gave her a lot of attention she would pull away. But when I did my own thing she would come at me with "you dont pay me any attention, blah blah blah".

And its been the same during our break up. We've been broken up officially since August, but went on and off about 3 times. After every breakup I would beg her to come back, which ended with her saying "no, move on". But after about a month of NC she would invite me to dinner or something similar.

However, I think its over for good this time. Based off what I've seen on FB she seems content and happy with her single/dating life. Earlier she didnt entertain the idea of partying and dating, but now she's seems to be embracing it.

She likely was just having a weak moment. I honestly would look at it as being a big deal. She most likely doesn't want you back. Go back to NC, delete her FB profile. Looking at things like that will only hold you back. just my $.02
