alexlakeman Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I just noticed, after I don't know how long, that a lot of women put 5 10 as a min height for guys.. Note, that I cap the height for women at 5' 5", so we are kind of "height balanced", lol... I am very tempted to change it to 5 10" vs 5 9".. that one extra inch, lol ... It's not like it's an inch on penis size.. Is that "5 9" a deal breaker for women? Of course, I am not talking about women 5-6 +, as when you wear heels, which I love, you end up being 6', lol... First time in my online dating, I feel like "fudging" something, lol.. I figure my shoes' soles gotta give me 1/2"!! LOL.. Ah well, slow Sat a.m.. don't take the above too serious, just give me your thoughts.. lol
sally4sara Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 My chubby, unemployed, no car having, 5'6" male friend had two dates this week and got laid. He came over late last night telling us how he pulled some girl away from the guy she arrived with who was clearly from a better economic position and got a chuckle out of the guy trying to get heated with him over it. Get over what you don't have and recognize you've got more going on than many other people who still meet with success even in the way you define it.

sally4sara Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I will also add that he gets no success in the online dating angle. For him it is going out and pounding the beat. Pure cold approach and charisma. Not anything close to a conventionally good looking fella. He is nice, friendly, funny, fluent in both English and Thai and he is BOLD.
Knittress Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Oi! Reverse discrimination! I'm 5'8" and my ex was 5'9.5" - not a huge deal.
january2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 In my experience, trust can be so fragile that I'm not a fan of starting off with a lie.
refurb Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 In my experience, trust can be so fragile that I'm not a fan of starting off with a lie. Agreed. I think it's kinda lame to lie about your height. I mean, it's not something the other person won't eventually figure out. Also, it's kind a big red arrow pointing at you that says "Insecure about height". I have noticed the 5'10" cutoff a lot of girls use. I'm 5'9". I just move onto the next girl. Everyone has their preferences. I completely understand why the tall girls do it. I'd feel a little weird about dating a girl taller than me (though i would still do it). The thing is, I don't get the girls that are 5'2" that do it, I mean, does it really matter if the guy is 7" or 8" taller than you? Can you really tell when you're that short? To each his (or her) own! RF

When you put down 5'9, we think you are shorter.
Jazzari Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 You know what really sucks about the lying? For those people who actually tell the truth, people are adding years or deducting inches from their height. Kinda screws things for those who are honest.
january2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Kinda screws things for those who are honest. I don't want anything that I have to lie to get and that includes members of the opposite sex. It's never worth it in the end. *shrugs*
joeLove Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I'm 5'11 myself, but I APPROVE this message ... My chubby, unemployed, no car having, 5'6" male friend had two dates this week and got laid. He came over late last night telling us how he pulled some girl away from the guy she arrived with who was clearly from a better economic position and got a chuckle out of the guy trying to get heated with him over it. Author alexlakeman Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 Guys always add an extra inch to their height. Put down 5'10, we women know you really are 5'9. When you put down 5'9, we think you are shorter. Oh, now we know your secret.. Same for breast size for you women!! You always lie, lol... but then again, by the time we see them out of the bra, WHO CARES the size.. lol.. When I started dating my ex gf she said her breast size was 123 (I can't remember).. Even though she looked fine, I didn't think so; so I text a female friend of mines her pic, and she comes back "NO WAY is she a 123!!", lol.. I didn't walk out, we ended up having a great years or so relationship, lol... LOL.... thank god we're not talking about inches of p)nises. lol..
january2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Same for breast size for you women!! You always lie, lol Really? I've not heard that before.
Author alexlakeman Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 Really? I've not heard that before. Unless they are the perfect size, and "of course" not "always"
Mme. Chaucer Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Not only have I not lied about my breast size, I don't think I've ever been in a position where I would be asked, or tell, anyone what it is. Why would I? I mean, if he's looking at me he can get the picture.
