jcrdnf Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I am in a relationship with a man I have know for 8 years but only been dating for 4 months. I really like him and have jumped in head first but I feel like he is getting bored with me. With that being said, its like I want to end it before he does. Im not sure why? I guess I dont want to get my heart broke so I will be the one to make the final call before he does. This is horrible. He told me he did not think he could be with me on Valentines day because it was his x's anniversary. He has only been seperated for 8 months. Once he told me this, I completely backed off. I do not send texts first. If he text me I will respond but I make no effort to show him that I am still interested unless he starts the conversation. Anyway, my friend said to give him space and I am acting like a child. Am I uncertain what I want for the future? Ive never been married and it seems like I end things before they get too complicated. Your thoughts?

I don't get it Sorry, I did not make that to clear. Yes their anniversary. They would have been married for 15 years. I understand its a fresh split up but I guess I thought I was more important than her. Which is a joke because it takes awhile to let a marriage go, Im sure.

Hmm well I'd say to let him have his day but call him sometime during the day to cheer him up or make casual convo. Nothing too serious, you know?

The not giving him attention/passive aggressive behaviour is childish. Put your cards on the table, see how he reacts and make a decision based on his reaction.
