Some people think it's fashionable. It clearly shows the guy has lots of money and taste.

Not in a million years. I think it's tacky and blingy. Girls who love the blingy rapper type guy would probably love it though.

I take it you mean front teeth?

It clearly shows the guy has lots of money and taste.

How do you figure that? In some countries gold "caps" are cheaper than white ones.

Taste???

I wouldn't like it, but in and of themselves, not a dealbreaker.

My dentist uses gold because I'm brutal on teeth. It saves him a ton in reworks. That said, they're all molars. He's going to be using zirconium oxide for a new upper crown since it will be more visible.

I'm sure the ladies have their opinions but I gotta eat :D

In a serious way, I'm not sure why anyone would use ANYTHING but zirconium oxide/other white fillers. They are totally the way to go..

I've broken them, hence we did something else..

Gold is still the strongest material for dental restorations, zirconia materials have been developed because of the high demand for aesthetics these days.

Less healthy tooth tissue has to be removed to place gold, and it lasts for a very long time. Its durable, strong and bioneutral.

Some people (carhill is a great example) simply cannot have tooth coloured restorations on their back teeth because of the way their teeth bite together.

LS dentist over and out.

IMO, it shows the exact opposite of taste.

This.

I love smiles. Infact, it's one of my favourite things about a guy. A guy with a great smile never fails to make me go :o:love:

If any guy thinks showing me a mouthful of gold plated teeth is gonna have the same :o effect on me as a normal smile, then they're crazy.

Oh, forgot, the zirconium oxide in a smaller crown is about 10% more expensive in total than the larger gold crown; so much for the 'value' of gold. 'Lots of money' is relative. Dental work is expensive in general. I just prefer maintaining health versus putting my teeth in a jar every night when getting older. I saw the reality of that when doing my mom's dentures while caring for her. No thanks.

It really depends on what type of person he is. I know a guy with a gold tooth who is very kind and has a great sense of humour.

I wouldn't say no just based on the fact they have gold teeth. I'd need to see other factors.

Gold front teeth on a female is 3rd world fair. I suppose I could overlook it and even find some darkish ferreners with a gold glint enticing. But not on Americans. It's a cheesy way poor people try to imply otherwise.
