chancellor Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 As some of you know, I've been friends with this girl who has strong feelings for me but won't do anything about it because her parents disagree. I have feelings for her too but now this is making me really sad. I'm supposed to have coffee with her on Thursday and I'd like to find a good way to deal with this. I've never been through this kind of situation before and was hoping some of the more experienced folks could give me some advice on how to approach this?

Just tell her that she has to listen to her heart, not her parents.
beauty0815 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 The only thing i can say is your going to have to let her know that she is grown enough to make decisions for herself she would also have to let her parents know this too ! if she still doesnt want to do anything about it because of her parents just explain to her that your not going to wait any longer ..how old are you also ? i wonder why she would still be listening to her parents i would tell her yes to follow her heart and still keep her parents decision in consideration but do what she feel is best !
Author chancellor Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 We are both in our twenties and for her parents it's a religious thing which i am not going to debate. It sucks but the girl knows she won't be able to marry me so she'd rather not date at all, which I agree with if we have no future together.
